- Day 1- Istanbul to Cappadocia
Morning: Fly from Istanbul to Cappadocia.
You'll likely start your journey by flying from Istanbul to Cappadocia, known for its distinctive fairy-tale-like landscapes, cave dwellings, and unique rock formations.
Once in Cappadocia, you might visit the Göreme Open-Air Museum, where you can explore cave churches and dwellings carved into the soft volcanic rock.
Optionally, you may take a hot air balloon ride over the surreal landscape of Cappadocia (weather permitting).

Morning: Morning: We will meet you at the bus station in Pamukkale.

Afternoon: Visit Pamukkale and Hierapolis. Marvel at the white travertine terraces and explore the ancient ruins.
Evening: Check-in to your hotel in Pamukkale.

Afternoon: Return to the airport and fly back to Istanbul.

While it's technically possible to visit both Ephesus and Pamukkale in one day, it is not recommended due to the considerable distance between the two sites. Ephesus is near the town of Selçuk, and Pamukkale is close to Denizli. The travel time between these locations is around 3-4 hours by car.
No, Pamukkale is not closer to Cappadocia. In fact, they are located in different regions of Turkey, and the distance between them is considerable.
Wear comfy shoes and light, breathable clothes in Pamukkale, as it's usually warm. If you want to walk on the travertine terraces, choose sturdy sandals or sneakers. Don't forget swimwear if you plan to enjoy the thermal pools, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sun protection. A light jacket or shawl is good for cooler evenings. Check the weather before you go and be respectful by wearing modest clothing at historical sites.
